FPT Advances Vietnam’s Tech Footprint with Strategic Airbus IT Collaboration

PARIS: Global IT powerhouse FPT Corporation has taken a significant leap forward in its decade-long collaboration with aerospace giant Airbus by signing a new multi-year Master Supply Agreement (MSA), officially designating FPT as a Global Strategic IT Partner of the European aerospace leader. The landmark agreement was formalized on June 11, 2025, at the Vietnam–France Business Forum in Paris, witnessed by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his official visit to France.

This elevated partnership places FPT among Airbus’ elite global IT vendors, granting the Vietnamese technology conglomerate expanded access to Airbus’ worldwide IT projects. Key areas of collaboration under the MSA include customer services, big data analytics, and cloud software engineering—domains critical to Airbus’ digital transformation and operational excellence.

The signing ceremony underscored the deepening ties between the two companies, which have enjoyed a fruitful partnership for over a decade. Since 2017, FPT has been instrumental in launching Airbus’ Skywise ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region. Skywise is Airbus’ open aviation data platform that integrates data from airlines globally and supports the development of customized training programs for aviation professionals. The platform’s success has been a cornerstone of Airbus’ digital innovation strategy, and FPT’s early involvement cemented its role as a trusted technology partner.

In 2023, Airbus undertook a strategic streamlining of its IT vendor roster, retaining FPT among its select group of strategic partners—a testament to FPT’s technical expertise and reliability.

Mdm Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software, highlighted the broader significance of the partnership: “Throughout our operations, FPT has played an active role in promoting collaboration between Vietnam and Europe’s leading enterprises, particularly in the IT sector. Our partnership with Airbus stands as a strong testament to this commitment. Backed by strong ties with more than 100 aviation partners and a highly skilled global workforce, FPT will continue to partner with Airbus and contribute to the digital transformation of the aviation industry.”

Wouter Van Wersch, Executive Vice President International at Airbus, echoed this sentiment, stating, “This milestone highlights the growing potential of our partnership with FPT. It is also a strong recognition of FPT’s technical expertise and maturity, and Airbus’ continued confidence in the company as a trusted and capable partner.”

FPT’s strategic positioning extends beyond Airbus. The company has built an extensive network of partnerships with over 100 airlines, airports, cargo operators, and aircraft manufacturers across Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. Recently, FPT also forged a collaboration with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to explore cutting-edge aviation technologies, signaling its commitment to innovation in the aerospace sector.

The company’s expansion in the French market has been particularly notable. In 2023, FPT acquired an 80% majority stake in AOSIS, a French IT consulting firm specializing in SAP, data, cloud, and business intelligence solutions, with a focus on aerospace, aviation, and transportation sectors. This acquisition enhances FPT’s local delivery capabilities and strengthens its footprint in Europe. AOSIS operates independently while integrating with FPT’s global service offerings and workforce of over 54,000 employees.

To foster cultural and professional integration, FPT established the FPT Francophone Association, aimed at nurturing a French-speaking talent pool. This initiative supports the company’s broader strategy to deepen ties with French enterprises and the Francophone community.

FPT’s active role in bilateral business relations was further demonstrated by its unique position as the sole Vietnamese company participating in the 2023 Choose France Summit in Paris. Additionally, FPT took part in the inaugural Vietnam–France Leaders Forum in Hanoi, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening economic and technological cooperation between the two countries.

Founded over three decades ago, FPT Corporation has evolved into a global leader in technology and IT services, operating across three core sectors: Technology, Telecommunications, and Education. The company focuses on five strategic areas: Artificial Intelligence, Automotive, Semiconductor, Digital Transformation, and Green Transformation. In 2024, FPT reported revenues of USD 2.47 billion, reflecting its robust growth and expanding global presence.

With this new Master Supply Agreement, FPT is poised to further accelerate its contributions to Airbus’ digital transformation journey and the broader aviation industry, while simultaneously enhancing Vietnam’s stature on the global technology map.

This strategic elevation of partnership between FPT and Airbus not only exemplifies the power of international collaboration but also highlights Vietnam’s growing influence in the global high-tech and aerospace sectors. As FPT continues to innovate and expand, its role as a bridge between Vietnamese technological prowess and European aerospace excellence is set to deepen, promising new opportunities for both nations in the years ahead.
